1. UN 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)란?

지속가능발전목표(Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs)는 2015년 UN 총회에서 2030년까지 달성하기로 결의한 의제입니다.
인간, 지구, 번영, 평화, 파트너십이라는 5개의 영역에서 인류가 나아가야 할 방향성을 17개 목표와 169개 세부 목표로 제시하고 있습니다.
선진국과 개발도상국, 저개발국을 포함한 모든 국가들이 인류의 번영을 위해 힘씀과 동시에 환경을 보호할 것을 촉구하고 있습니다.
각 정부 뿐만 아니라 세계 곳곳의 기업들이 SDGs를 기반으로 투자, 솔루션 개발, 기업 활동을 통해 지속가능발전을 증진할 것을 촉구하고 있습니다.

2. 한국의 SDGs 이행현황 2022
ESG를 공부하면서 UN SDGs에 대해선 익히 알고 있었지만, 실질적으로 각국에서는 목표 달성을 위해 어떻게 진행되고 있는지 확인해보지 못했었습니다. 겉핥기 식으로 공부하고 흘려보내고 있어서 직접 찾아보지 않았습니다.
그런데 이번 기회에 검색을 해보니, 우리나라는 지속가능발전목표(SDGs) 달성을 위해 어떻게 노력하는지 쉽게 확인할 수 있었습니다.
통계청 통계개발원에서 2022.04.06에 '한국의 SDGs 이행보고서 2022' 보고서를 발표했습니다.
해당 보고서는 UN SDGs 지표를 근거로 우리나라의 지속가능발전 현황을 OECD 국가와 비교분석하였습니다.
